In every industry around the world, there are certain products, devices or appliances that form an integral part thereof. The industrial and/or electrical industries are no different; with a wide range of devices playing a crucial role its daily business operations, among which are servo motors. The main reason for this being the case can be attributed to the fact that servo motors are actually an assembly of four different things which includes a normal DC motor, a gear reduction unit, a control circuit and a position-sensing device. This is in stark contrast to most other motor drives available on the market, seeing as they consist of only the motor itself. As such, a lot of activities take place within servo motors. However, the main function of servo motors involves receiving a control signal that represents a desired output position of the servo shaft and applying power to its DC motor until its shaft turns to that position. Servo motors then make use of the position-sensing device to determine the rotational position of the shaft in order to know in which direction the motor should turn in order to move the shaft to the commanded position. In contrast to a DC motor, the shaft of servo motors does not rotate freely around but rather can turn on average only about 200 degrees back and forth.
Due to the important role which servo motors fulfill in the industrial and/or electric industries, it should come as no surprise then that it should be extremely reliable as a result. This being the case, malfunctions and easy breakages cannot be afforded, meaning that only high quality servo motors should be used at all times. This will not only ensure that work of a much higher standard is possible, but the work to be done using servo motors can also be completed in a much shorter period of time than is the case when other motor drives are used. Taking into consideration that high quality servo motors are usually only available from reputable suppliers, you should seriously consider paying a visit to EP Normand. Having years of experience on our side, the staff at EP Normand has come to understand the needs and wants of our customer base as far as servo motors are concerned. It should thus actually be a no-brainer in deciding to make EP Normand your preferred supplier of not only servo motors, but industrial and electrical appliances or devices in general.
