A new version of Parker’s cross-platform drive configuration package Drive System Explorer (DSE) Lite has recently been released.  The Drive System Explorer Lite version 2.11 incorporates a number of new features and added support for the company’s newly introduced AC650S series compact sensorless AC drives for permanent-magnet motor applications.

The Drive System Explorer Lite is basically a block programming tool with an intuitive user interface to be used for the configuration and commissioning of Parker’s complete range of AC and DC drives.  Apart from supporting user-defined configurations, it also offers real-time monitoring and charting.  An online help function is furthermore available for the various drive function blocks.

In addition to supporting the AC650S, new features in version 2.11 include the ability to perform online updates from within Drive System Explorer Lite itself.  The software includes an installation of the latest AC890 firmware.  This will enable users to take advantage of updated options boards and communications functions.  Drive System Explorer Lite Version 2.11 also offers improved download speeds for AC890 firmware.

 Drive System Explorer Lite 2.11 works under Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.  It can be used with all current Parker SSD Drives products, as well as several legacy products.
